Nutrition is at the heart of what we do, but it´s not all we do. We are committed to doing more of what matters for pets, for the people who love them and for the planet we share. That´s why are focused on achieving our 6 Purina Commitments which are focused around initiatives for pets, communities and the environment.
At Purina we enjoy being part of the community. We champion many great initiatives for and with our local people. We are proud to work with and support organisations to reinforce the pet-human bond.
Purina Research and Development (R&D) network is composed of over 500 scientists, represents a breadth of disciplines (veterinarians, nutritionists, animal behaviourists, microbiologists, nutritional biochemists and immunologists) and is a vital part of the wider Nestlé R&D Network, which comprises a team of more than 5,000 people.
Our R&D network is passionately driven by unleashing the power of nutrition to help all pets live better, longer lives. We believe in a world where pets thrive longer and even the most challenging health issues can be effectively managed through nutrition. Driven by this vision and an unwavering passion for pets, our R&D network applies unrivalled scientific expertise in pet nutrition, physiology and behaviour to make new discoveries and push boundaries, creating real nutritional solutions that make the difference.
The Purina Institute
In 2018 we launched the Purina Institute, the global voice of Purina’s science. Representing a diverse team of more than 500 scientists and pet care experts around the world, the Purina Institute will share Purina’s ground-breaking research and the latest scientific findings in pet nutrition. The Purina Institute seeks to elevate the topic of pet nutrition with veterinarians to drive conversations with pet owners about the important role that scientifically-based nutrition plays in the overall health of their pets.
