Create Jobs for Young People across Europe
By 2016, we are committed to creating 1,500 job opportunities and traineeships for young people below the age of 30 at Nestlé Purina in Europe.
Our achievement to date
We proudly reached our target, having employed 2,429 young people since 2014. And, we will keep creating jobs for people under 30 as part of our parent company's global "Nestlé needs YOUth" Initiative which aims to create:
- 45000 to 50000 apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities;
- Enhanced collaboration with external partners to motivate them to join and to increase impact;
- 20000 to 25000 job opportunities for people under 30 years of age every year.
Our Point of View
Youth unemployment is a major global issue. We recognise that attracting and retaining great people is critical for us as a company and for ensuring a bright future for pets.
In some cases, under 30-year-olds will also become future pet owners and we hope will play a role in promoting the benefits and joys of pet ownership.
